<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery in which defects of a conductive film formed in a metal foil can be repaired so as to reduce manufacturing cost of the lithium secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: A conductive film paste 4 including an active material, a conductive assistant, and a binder is applied to the surface of a metal foil 3 and is dried. When there is a defect 1 in the applied conductive film 4, the portion in which there is the defect is recorded and the defect is filled with a defect correction paste 5. The defect correction paste 5 includes the binder but does not include the conductive assistant and the active material. The conductive film 4 is pressed and flattened later, and at this time the portion to which defect correction is performed is also flattened. And an electrode film 4 or the metal foil 3 is not damaged at the time of pressing because there is no particle in the defect correction paste 5.
