摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain erroneous detection caused by a shortage of fuel gas supplied to an anode and detect only a steady-state abnormality such as fault in a constituent element electrically connected to a fuel battery. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel battery system of the present invention includes a fuel battery containing one or more fuel battery cells, each having an anode and a cathode formed on both sides of an electrolyte membrane; a gas supply unit which supplies fuel gas and oxidation gas as electricity generation gases to the fuel battery; a voltage monitoring unit which monitors the voltages of fuel battery cells and an hourly change in voltage; and an abnormality monitoring unit which detects abnormality in the monitor voltages monitored by the voltage monitoring unit. The abnormality monitoring unit, when supply of electricity generation gases is once halted and then started back again, raises the set value of a monitoring upper-limit voltage which serves as a reference for abnormality detection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
