PURPOSE: A vibration motor and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent a short circuit of a rotor yoke by forming an insulating film on the surface of the metal rotor yoke for shielding a magnetic field. CONSTITUTION: A fixed shaft(10) is fixed to a case(5). A bearing(31) is inserted into the fixed shaft. A coil is fixed to the bearing and arranged on a circuit board. A rotor(30) comprises a rotor yoke which covers the coils. A stator comprises a magnet(24) between the case and the circuit board. An insulating film is formed on the surface of the rotor yoke(36).
