<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic endoscope system visualizing the efficiency of irradiation with therapeutic light, improving the efficiency of irradiation with the therapeutic light, and supporting an operator to adjust the projected position and direction of the therapeutic light. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic endoscope system 301 includes: an illumination light unit 61 for projecting white light into an interior of a subject body; a therapeutic light unit 62 for projecting therapeutic light; a CCD 21 for imaging the interior of the subject body; a diaphragm mechanism 72 for adjusting the volume of the therapeutic light; an irradiance estimator 303; and a display control circuit 304 for controlling a monitor 22 to display the captured image or the like. The system 301 projects ordinary light and a low intensity therapeutic light into the subject body, the intensity of the therapeutic light may be lowered by the diaphragm mechanism 72 to avoide halation, and with the lower intensity therapeutic light an image of the intereior of the subject body is captured. From the captured image, the irradiance estimator 303 extracts data about the position and power distribution of irradiation by the therapeutic light. The monitor 22 is controlled to display the extracted data extracted by the irradiance estimator 303 in combination with the captured image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
