PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a light emitting device is provided to maintain high generating power by controlling optical absorption at the surface of a wire. CONSTITUTION: A conductive element(1) equipped with a reflective film is prepared. A package(2) having a sidewall is formed on the conductive element. A light emitting device(3) is arranged on the reflective film. The reflective film and the light emitting device are electrically connected by a wire(4). A protective film(5) is formed on the surface of the reflective film. The reflective film contains silver. The protective film continuously covers the surface of the light emitting device and the surface of the reflective film. An air gap formed between the reflective film and an end part of wire connected to the reflective film is filled with the protective film. |
