<p>A handling device (1) has a support frame and a load bearing unit (3) for attachment to the band gap ring (27). The load receiving unit is rotatably mounted on the support frame about a rotational axis. The band gap ring is fastened by a holding device while performing the fixing process by a spreader. A recess (35) is formed at the load bearing unit for allowing the passage of a tape (46) supplied by a binding station (40) so that the tape is placed around the band gap ring, as long as holding of the load receiving unit.
