PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in a conventional fuel cell system that, when such a system is installed in a vehicle having only a limited space beneath the floor, an underfloor layout is very difficult, and that, when the vehicle is inclined, drainage of water is difficult.
SOLUTION: A fuel cell system comprises: a fuel cell stack S comprised of a plurality of unit cells C which are laminated in a horizontal direction and having a manifold inside of the laminate for supplying and discharging reaction gas to and from each unit cell C,; and drain channels 1A and 1B from a manifold M for anode off-gas exhaust on both ends of the fuel cell stack S in a unit cell laminated direction. This construction enables the system structure to be reduced in height, thereby facilitating installation in a space beneath the floor of a vehicle and also making it possible for water to be drained easily even in a system where the hydrogen circulation speed is low.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
