PAGING PROCESSING METHOD FOR USER EQUIPMENT AND EQUIPMENT

A paging processing method and device for a user equipment are disclosed in the present application, comprising: after reset of a mobility management entity, and upon reception of a paging notification message transmitted by a serving gateway, the mobility management entity transmits a paging message including its own mobility management entity identifier to a base station. When the base station determines that the paging message includes a mobility management entity identifier, the base station transmits a paging message including the mobility management entity identifier to the user equipment (UE). When the UE determines that the paging message includes a mobility management entity identifier, the UE further determines whether the mobility management entity identifier initiating the paging corresponds with a mobility management entity identifier registered by the UE; if it does, the UE responds to the paging message; if it does not, the UE does not respond. The present application effectively solves the problem of a UE repeatedly initiating a network attachment request when a mobility management entity is being reset. The solution requires little modification of existing protocol rules and is easy to accomplish, thus easily maintaining compatibility between network systems.
