PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program reservation device with which a viewer can easily reserve a program on the basis of advance notice information of the program found by the user during watching TV. SOLUTION: The program reservation device stores in-program information automatically extracted from a TV signal as an in-program information block together with broadcast time per unit period during program broadcasting. Upon receiving a reservation instruction from the viewer who has found introduction of a program to be reserved on a television screen under viewing, the device extracts the reservation program information from the past in-program information block within a past predetermined time band by using a reception time as reference, and automatically reserves the program in accordance with the extracted reservation program information.
