<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve bandwidth efficiency of a communication network in the communication network where a measurement of data loss is conducted. <P>SOLUTION: A communication device of the invention comprises: counter memory means for storing a received counter value of its own device if a particular frame has been received; measurement means, which, if the particular frame has been received, measures the number of frame loss occurred between the own device and a device in a previous stage of the own device from the received counter value of the own device and a transmission counter value of a transmission source device included in the particular frame and the number of total frame loss from the transmission source device to the device of the previous stage of the own device; transmission means for transmitting the particular frame; and frame control means which, if frame loss is occurring, adds loss information associating the number of frame loss occurred between the own device and the device in the previous stage with an identifier of the own device to the particular frame, and transfers the particular frame to the transmission means, and if frame loss is not occurring, transfers the particular frame without adding the loss information to the transmission means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
