A washing machine managing a point of the time of washing process and a method for the same are provided to store a current stage of washing process by inputting of a user and to return to the stored stage of washing process when the user wants. A washing machine managing a point of the time of washing process comprises a memory storing a stage of washing process of a washing machine, an inputting unit storing the current stage of washing process by inputting of a user and maintaining a washing machine with a pause state until re-operating, a controller proceeding with a next stage when the user wants, a sound outputting unit informing the user with the sound that the washing process is successfully stored and deleted in the memory and a display unit indicating the current state of the washing process.
