PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and a display method that give a superposition image using a mirror image and picture a feeling of depth, and can synthesize the superposition image having more reality thanks to a natural perspective.SOLUTION: A display device comprises: a semi-transmitting mirror (12) that reflects light incident from one face (F) side to the one face side, and transmits light incident from the other face (R) side to the one face side; and at least one picture display unit (D1, D2, and D3) that is disposed on the other face side of the semi-transmitting mirror, and displays a transmitting picture (A, B, and C) on the one face side. The semi-transmitting mirror is configured to form a contracted or enlarged virtual image (OB') of an object (OB) disposed on one face side on the other face side, and when observing from the one face side, the picture and the virtual image are observed as a superposed image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
