PURPOSE: A low tilt type column hinge support structure of an electric power steering system are provided to prevent a steering column from twisting which causes the lowering of telescopic performance. CONSTITUTION: A low tilt type column hinge support structure of an electric power steering system comprises a reducer housing hinge shift(4), a mounting bracket(6), and a floating nut(8). A reducer of the electric motor is accepted into the reducer housing hinge shift. One end of the mounting bracket is coupled with a tilt/telescopic device. The other end of the mounting bracket is pushed to the outer surface of the reducer housing hinge shift. The hinge bolt shaft passes through the inserting hole pierced in the mounting bracket and the reducer housing hinge shift. The hinge bolt shaft is supported by the inserting hole. The floating nut is fixed with the end of the hinge bolt shaft.
