The work- and mounting trestle (10) has two vertical rods (12), which are arranged parallel to each other and are connected with each other by a horizontal connecting bar (14). The vertical rods have a column element (20) forming a unit with the connecting bar and another column element forming a unit with a foot (18). The respective former column element has a central cavity of circular cross section, in which the associated latter column element extends upwards and is guided in an adjustably movable manner.
