<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that can suppress large density change of an adjustment pattern resulting from the disturbance, even if affected by disturbance when forming the adjustment pattern. <P>SOLUTION: A recording apparatus performs recording by discharging ink from respective nozzle arrays while moving a recording head which includes a plurality of nozzle arrays including at least a first nozzle array, a second nozzle array and a third nozzle array, wherein the first nozzle array and the second nozzle array are arranged by shifting relatively to a nozzle arrangement direction to a recording medium in the direction which intersects the nozzle arrangement direction. Here the recording apparatus forms a plurality of patterns on the recording medium by discharging the ink from the first and second nozzle arrays, forms the second pattern on the recording medium by discharging the ink from a third nozzle array, while changing the shift of a crossing direction to the plurality of first patterns, and compute an adjusting value for adjusting a relative recording position of the first nozzle array and the third nozzle array in the crossing direction based on the plurality of the first and second patterns formed on the recording medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
