PURPOSE: A smart card, a method for managing authentication number of the same, and a verifying apparatus thereof are provided to efficiently verify the smart card by managing a file including an authentication number value of the smart card according to a smart card standard. CONSTITUTION: An information updating unit(111) updates an authentication number value according to authentication success. A file updating unit(113) updates an element file including information about the authentication number value according to the update of the authentication number value. An information transmitting unit(115) transmits information about the authentication number value to a smart card verifying device.
