<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for efficiently producing a vegetable oil and fat from a structural material of a plant other than the seeds, while allowing the plant to photosynthesize continuously. <P>SOLUTION: The process for producing a vegetable oil and fat is characterized by: cultivating a plant constituted of sufficiently grown structural materials, while keeping the plant short of phosphorus, or cultivating a phosphorus-deficient mutant plant; and recovering neutral lipids which have accumulated in a structural material other than the seeds. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
