<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air washing apparatus for enabling a water washing apparatus to surely and smoothly remove adhered matter. <P>SOLUTION: The air washing apparatus for air-washing raw green tea leaves by discharging air to the raw green tea leaves to be supplied to a tea manufacturing process so as to remove matter adhered to the raw green tea leaves is arranged in a process before the water washing apparatus for water-washing the raw green tea leaves to supply the same to the green tea manufacturing process in order to convey the air-washed raw green tea leaves to the water washing apparatus. From one end of the air washing apparatus, the raw green tea leaves before air washing are supplied, and from the other end thereof, the air-washed raw green tea leaves are conveyed. The air-washing apparatus includes: a mesh drum 3 formed of a cylindrical mesh body rotatable in a predetermined direction with a rotary shaft as a center; an air supplying means 4 for discharging air into the mesh drum 3; an air suction means 5 for sucking air from the inside of the mesh drum 3; and crosspieces 3b formed on the inner wall surface of the mesh drum 3 for conveying the raw green tea leaves from one end to the other end while stirring the raw green tea leaves within the mesh drum 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
