ENHANCING APPARATUS FOR COOLING EFFICIENCY IN UPPER BEARING OF LARGE-SIZED VERTICAL TYPE MOTOR

PURPOSE: A device for improving the cooling efficiency of an upper bearing of a large vertical motor is provided to prevent malfunction due to the deterioration of a ball bearing by forming an air guider outside of the ball bearing and passing suctioned air through the ball bearing. CONSTITUTION: A ball bearing(3) is installed on the upper side of a cylindrical frame(1). A cooling fan(4) is installed on the upper side of the ball bearing. An air inlet(51) is installed on the upper side of the frame and an air outlet(52,54) is installed on the bottom of the frame. The air inlet and the air outlet are punched in an air duct(5). The ball bearing is protruded to the outside of the upper side of the frame. An air guider(7) is cylindrically formed outside the ball bearing.
