Syringes and like appliances. -A stomach tube, employable for feeding, irrigating, or diagnostic purposes, comprises a flexible tube 1, for example of rubber, reinforced at one end 2 and closed at the other end. The closed end is weighted by mercury 5, or lead shot, or other finely divided metal, the weight being completely enclosed by a rubber partition 4. Above the partition, holes 6 of smaller individual diameter than that of the tube, but of larger aggregate aperture, are provided. In a modification, the, weighted portion is separate from the tube and connected therewith by a nut and bolt. |
