Disclosed herein is a quinoxalinyl macrocyclic compound of formula (I), wherein G is defined as -NS(O)2-R3 and all other substituents are as defined within the specification, processes for their preparation, compositions comprising said compounds and uses thereof. Such compounds are useful in the treatment of hepatitis C viral infections or for the inhibition of the replication of the hepatitis C virus.
