<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably reverse various sizes of cases C, in a reversing device 1 for dropping the case C from an upper conveyor 4 to a lower conveyor 10, to reverse the case C. <P>SOLUTION: The case C is dropped from the downstream end of the upper chain conveyor 4 to the upstream end 10a of the lower belt conveyor 10, to be revered. The height of the upstream end 10a of the belt conveyor 10 is changed by a height changing means 16, according to the size of the case C, so that the dropped case C may be rotated by 180 degrees and landed with a stable attitude. An engagement member 22 engaged with the inside of the wall surface of the rear side of the case C conveyed in such a manner that the opening of the case C faces downward, to urge the rotation of the case C is provided at the downstream end of the chain conveyor 4.
