<p>The invention concerns a device comprising a sleeve (10), capable of being arranged around two opposite ends of the two tubes and provided with means for reducing its diameter under the action of clamping means (22, 24). The device comprises a sealing ring (12) arranged inside the sleeve (10) to enclose the ends of the tubes. Said ring consists of a band wound upon itself, whereof the ends bear at least one male/female assembly adapted to be urged to be engaged by contact upon clamping. At least one of the male and female configurations in the male/female assembly has contacting edges formed on the contact lugs (32A, 32B) adapted, upon engagement of the male configuration (28) into the female configuration (30) under the clamping effect to be folded in the direction promoting penetration of the male configuration into the female configuration.</p> |
