<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant resin composition which uses an olefinic resin as a main component, is mixed with a little thermoplastic polyester resin, and is excellent in flame retardancy even with a prolonged catch flame exceeding 90 seconds. <P>SOLUTION: The flame-retardant resin composition does not include a halogen substantially, and makes the following (A)-(D) components indispensable components. (A) component: an olefinic resin composition whose melt tension at 230°C is 35-60 mN, (B) component: a thermoplastic polyester resin whose melt viscosity measured by shear rate 100 s<SP POS="POST">-1</SP>at 270°C is 500-1,500 Pa s, (C1) component: a phosphate-based flame retardant, and (D) component: a polypropylene-based polymer alloy compatibilizer.
