PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adamantane derivative which gives a cured product excellent in optical properties such as transparency and light resistance, heat resistance, and mechanical properties; a method for producing the same; a resin composition including the derivative; and a cured product using the derivative.

SOLUTION: The adamantane derivative is represented by formula (I) (wherein R1is an alkyl group or the like; k is an integer of 0-4; X is an alkylene group or the like; Y is an oxiranylmethyl group, an oxetanylmethyl group or the like; and j is an integer of 1-4).
