The invention relates to the field of metallurgy. A device for drying and heating casting ladles comprises a lid that fits tightly to the ladle and has a connection pipe for supply and removal of combustion products and a burner. In addition, the device comprises an additional element made with possibility of adjustment for forming an optimal annular gap between the inner wall of ladle and this element along the height of the ladle and ensuring forming a heated gas stream from the burner to the bottom and then in a boundary layer in the formed annular gap bottom-up, in the case the internal cavity of the additional element forms a combustion chamber which volume is changed by choose of the wall thickness of additional element. The invention makes it possible to intensify drying and heating the casting ladles, to reduce gas consumption, to provide uniform heating the surface, to improve combustion conditions.
