PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuously variable transmission capable of improving power transmission efficiency by reducing the pressure between balls and a support member.SOLUTION: The continuously variable transmission 10 includes: a drive ring 11 and a driven ring 12 provided to be relatively rotatable around a first axis Ax1; a sun roller 19 coaxially provided on the radial inside of the rings 11, 12; a plurality of balls 20 inserted between the rings 11, 12 and the sun roller 19; and a stator ring 21 holding the plurality of balls 20 to be annually arranged and to support each ball 20 to be rollable on the outer peripheral surface of the sun roller 19. The continuously variable transmission 10 changes a variable speed ratio by changing the inclination of a rotation axis Ax2 when the balls 20 roll. The stator ring 21 is built in the continuously variable transmission 10 in an elastically deformed state so that the diameter of an imaginary circle C passing through the center of each ball 20 is smaller after built in than before built in. |
