PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waveguide connecting structure having wideband low-reflection characteristics for connection as required even at angles other than the right angle, and a radar using the same.SOLUTION: The waveguide connecting structure 101 includes a first waveguide 10 and a second waveguide 20 connected at a right angle at a connecting part 123. The second waveguide 20 includes a transforming part 21 having the width a21 different from the original width a2 over the length c21 from the connecting part 123. The length c21 of the transforming part 21 is equivalent to about 1/4 of the intra-waveguide wavelength of the electromagnetic wave to be transmitted. The connecting part 123 is connected in parallel with a waveguide half-wavelength resonator 30. This waveguide half-wavelength resonator 30 is opened on the side of the connecting part 123 and short-circuited at the end, and is further disposed as to extend in the electromagnetic wave transmitting direction (longitudinal direction) of the second waveguide 20. |
