<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a contact member by discharging muddy water to the outside of a contact-member accommodating part. <P>SOLUTION: A female terminal 20 into which a male terminal 60 is fittable is equipped with: the contact member 23 in which a plurality of contact pieces 23A extending in a fitting direction with the male terminal 60 are arranged in a circumferential direction, intermediate portions of these contact pieces 23A in an extending direction are radially inwardly curved, and the curved parts resiliently come into contact with the male terminal 60 while holding the male terminal; and a terminal body in which the contact-member accommodating part 22 to accommodate the contact member 23 inside projects forward from a female-side body part 21. The contact-member accommodating part 22 is equipped with: a front wall 22A constituting a front end portion of the contact-member accommodating part 22; and a side wall 22B formed between the front wall 22A and the female-side body part 21. An entering hole 22C allowing the male terminal 60 to enter inside the contact-member accommodating part 22 is formed in the front wall 22A, and a first discharge hole 25A allowing the inside and outside of the contact-member accommodating part 22 to communicate with each other is formed in the side wall 22B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
