PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shutter device which enables suitable ventilation through spaces between slats. SOLUTION: A window part 15 is formed in an outer wall 13 in a building 10, and a sash door 21 is provided in the window part 15. In the window part 15, the shutter device 31 is provided on the outdoor side of the sash door 21. The shutter device 31 comprises a shutter curtain 32 and a shutter case 33, and the shutter curtain 32 comprises a plurality of openable slats 39. In the shutter case 33, a first blower 51 is provided for blowing out air to an intermediate region S on the indoor side of the drawn-out shutter curtain 32. When the slats 39 are in a ventilated state, upon blowout of the air from the first blower 51, extraneous matters attached onto the slats 39 can be blown out by the air when the air flows out outdoors from the space between the slats 39 through the intermediate region S.
