PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tin oxide fine particle having good conductivity. SOLUTION: The tin oxide fine particle is a tin oxide in which a second metal atom and a third metal atom are dissolved as a solid solution. The second metal atom and the third metal atom are tungsten or zinc, and are different metal atoms from each other. The atomic ratio of the tin oxide fine particle satisfies: 0.88≤Sn/(Sn+W+Zn)≤0.999; 0.001≤the second metal atom/(Sn+W+Zn)≤0.07; 0≤the third metal atom/(Sn+W+Zn)≤0.05; and 0.90≤(Sn+W+Zn)/all metal atoms≤1.00.
