摘要 The method involves detecting an image by a monocular image capture system i.e. monocular camera (2), and detecting feature points of the image in an image area of a track (9) in the image. Difference of an intensity of a transformed pixel of another image and an intensity of a pixel of the former image corresponding to the transformed pixel of the latter image is computed using a calculation unit (5). The difference is compared with a predetermined threshold. An obstacle (10) is detected when the difference is larger than the predetermined threshold. An independent claim is also included for a device for detecting an obstacle in car surroundings.
