PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive plasma display panel having excellent display performance. SOLUTION: The plasma display panel includes: a front face plate provided with a plurality of scanning electrodes 5 and a plurality of sustain electrodes 6 arranged in a row direction on both sides of an electric discharge gap arranged between them; a rear face plate arranged opposite to the front face plate by preparing a discharge space between the front face plate and the rear face plate; and partitioning walls 13 for partitioning the discharge space into each discharge cell. The scanning electrode 5 and the sustain electrode 6 respectively have first sections 51, 61 facing each other through the discharge gap, second sections 52, 62 arranged in parallel by spacing from the first sections 51, 61, and third sections 53, 63 for connecting between the first sections 51, 61 and the second sections 52, 62.
