<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress cost increase while keeping high accuracy of detecting a fault in a communication network. <P>SOLUTION: A fault detection device is provided with: status change detecting units 11-1 to 11-n which detect a change of status for each predetermined event in an IP network system; a communication trial unit 13 which executes a predetermined communication procedure for detecting the status of each predetermined event; and a trial selection unit 12 which instructs the communication trial unit 13 to carry out the predetermined communication procedure corresponding to the predetermined event whose status change has been detected by the status change detecting units 11-1 to 11-n. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
