PURPOSE: A PRS(Positioning Reference Signal) transmission method and mobile communication system therefor are provided to receive only the PRS from a sub-base station by an UE(User Equipment). CONSTITUTION: An RP(Repeater) and an RL(Relay) transmit a relay signal that is eliminated a PRS component by using information about transmitted the PRS from a base station. The RP and the RL transmit a null signal to a location that the base station transmits the PRS to the UE. The information about PRS includes the information about the frequency domain section and time that the base station transmits the PRS to the UE.
