PURPOSE: A security method for conditional access system software in a downloadable conditional access system are provided to create a CAS(Conditional Access System) client personalization image. CONSTITUTION: A CAS vendor headend(200) creates a CAS client personalized image corresponding to a specific DCAS host. A DCAS headend(100) downloads the CAS client personalization image from the CAS vendor headend. The DCAS headend transmits the downloaded image to the DCAS host. The DCAS host transmits the SM(Secure Micro) identity information to the CAS vendor headend.
