OPENING AND CLOSING DEVICE FOR MANHOLE COVER

PURPOSE: A device for opening and closing a manhole cover is provided to enhance the separation prevention function and closing forces of a manhole cover in closing and to ensure easy opening through the lever principle and link motion. CONSTITUTION: A device for opening and closing a manhole cover comprises a slider(130), a handle(140), and a link unit(150). The slider is installed in the center of a manhole cover(120) and allowed to slide through the manhole cover. The handle comprises a first hinge part(141) which is hinged on the manhole cover inside a mounting hole(125) formed on the top of the manhole cover and a second hinge part(143) which is hinged on the leading end of the slider protruding into the mounting hole. The link unit is connected between the bottom of the slider and the lower side of the manhole cover and opens or closes the manhole cover on a manhole frame when the slider is raised or lowered by the handle.
