The invention relates to a method for fastening a fitting element to a lightweight building board, in which, in order to reduce the consumption of adhesive for fastening purposes, an integral bond between a fitting element and a wood material is produced by laser transmission welding. The fitting element is laser-transparent at least in the region between the at least one joint face and the particular entry point (9) into the fitting element of the laser beam (10) effecting the integral bond. The fitting element consists of a thermoplastic plastics material at least in the region of the joint face, and the wood material is laser-absorbing in the region that is in contact with the at least one joint face. The invention further relates to a suitable device for fastening a fitting element to a lightweight building board, and to a corresponding component. |
