PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical blind which is easily changed in the operating position of an operating part and in the folding direction of a carrier and a louver. SOLUTION: Cord guides 18 are provided at both ends of a head rail 10. Each cord guide 18 is formed with a turning part 18a for turning an opening/closing cord 16; a lead-out part 18b for hanging the opening/closing cord 16 from the head rail 10; and a communicating part 18c allowing the turning part 18a and the lead-out part 18b to communicate with each other and allowing the opening/closing cord 16 to freely come and go between them. The opening/closing cord 16 can be pulled out of either cord guide 18 at either end of the head rail 10, and part of the pulled-out opening/closing cord 16 constitutes the operating part 16a.
