PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that displays an image which can be easily recognized by a person even when the image is small, and increases expressive power of the image. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 includes: a projector 2 which is supported turnably around a predetermined axis line and displays the image by scanning light; a driving means 6 which turns the projector 2; and a distortion correction means which corrects the distortion of the image on the basis of the display position of the image. The projector 2 is so configured to switch, by turning around a predetermined axis line, between a first state in which the image is displayed by scanning light in a first plotting region formed on a display face 91a and a second state in which the image is displayed by scanning light in a second plotting region formed on a display face 91b which is different from the first plotting region.
