<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and low-loss power conversion device which eliminates restrictions on voltages of the input and output sides. <P>SOLUTION: The power conversion device includes: a rectifying unit 10, which rectifies an alternating current; a step-up/step-down unit 20, which includes an element 23 for power factor improvement and steps up or steps down a direct current voltage from the rectifying unit; a central capacitor 15, which is charged by the direct current voltage and discharges the voltage to an output unit at a later stage; a first early-stage switching element 11 and a second early-stage switching element 12 disposed in series between the step-up/step-down unit and the central capacitor; a first later-stage switching element 16 and a second later-stage switching element 17 disposed in series between the central capacitor and the output unit; and a control unit, which controls all these. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
