PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic carrier which has a coating layer capable of adjusting the amount of charges in a desired range without causing problems of the deterioration of image quality, toner scattering and surface stain due to toner spent and surface wear, and to provide an electrophotographic developer, an image forming method, an image forming apparatus, a process cartridge, and a container containing the electrophotographic developer, which use this electrophotographic carrier. SOLUTION: Each particle of the electrophotographic carrier has a core material and the coating layer on the surface of the core material, which includes at least a binder resin precursor and a solvent.
