HOLLOW FIBER MEMBRANE MODULE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semi-dry type hollow fiber membrane module in which generation of air lock is suppressed, little elution is caused and little remaining blood is generated, and a method of manufacturing the hollow fiber membrane module.

SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the hollow fiber membrane module includes: a process of filling liquid in a first liquid passing space which is an inner face of the hollow fiber membrane with the hollow fiber membrane 2 built in a module casing 1; a blow process of drawing out the liquid using gas; and a process of sealing in inert gas and performing radiation irradiation. The method satisfies conditions such that: (1) a copolymer polymer consisting of a hydrophilic unit and a hydrophobic unit exists on at least the inner surface side of the hollow fiber membrane; (2) the liquid holding rate is 10-350 wt.%; and (3) the gas blow direction is same as the inert gas sealing-in direction.
