PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair-treating agent containing cysteamine or a salt thereof in which characteristic odor is deodorized. SOLUTION: The hair-treating agent in which characteristic odor of cysteamine is deodorized contains cysteamine or a salt thereof as a main raw material, wherein the hair-treating agent includes 5.0 wt.% or more and 50.0 wt.% or less of L-cysteine or DL-cysteine, 0.01 wt.% or more and 5.0 wt.% or less of DL-malic acid, and 5.0 wt.% or more and 50.0 wt.% or less of ethanol, based on 100 wt.% of cysteamine or a salt thereof.
