PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a ceramic metal halide lamp, with reduced color temperature unevenness in a lot generated at a ceramic metal halide lamp having an arc tube with thin tubes at manufacturing or at early stage of lamp shipping. SOLUTION: Between a process for putting light-emitting filling (20) in an arc tube (1) with thin-tube parts (12) at either end and airtightly sealing it and a process for lighting for a test before shipping of a lamp, a process for taking out the solid light-emitting filling (20) in the thin-tube parts (12) at both ends of the arc tube (1) after being airtightly sealed from the thin-tube parts (12), a process for collecting the solid light-emitting filling (20) at a part of a center of a light-emitting part (3), and a process for maintaining a position of the light-emitting filling (20) from the previous process up to the end of the lighting for a test, are included in this order. Further, a process in which the light-emitting filling (20) collected at a site of the center of the light-emitting part (3) is solidified after being melted so as to hardly move is preferably included.
