摘要 <p>The device for utilizing waste heat of a metal melt (8) in a continuous casting plant, comprises a distributor (1) for providing the metal melt, where the metal melt is guided from the distributor into a mold (2) so that the metal melt is molded in a strand form. An area of an energy reception of a coolant is integrated into a thermosyphon or a heat-pipe in a wall of the mold. The area of an energy reception is a cooling element. The coolant evaporates in the area of the mold in a closed circuit. The vapor is directed through the thermosyphon or a heat-pipe to a heat sink. The device for utilizing waste heat of a metal melt (8) in a continuous casting plant, comprises a distributor (1) for providing the metal melt, where the metal melt is guided from the distributor into a mold (2) so that the metal melt is molded in a strand form. An area of an energy reception of a coolant is integrated into a thermosyphon or a heat-pipe in a wall of the mold. The area of an energy reception is a cooling element. The coolant evaporates in the area of the mold in a closed circuit. The vapor is directed through the thermosyphon or a heat-pipe to a heat sink and condenses so that the heat of the vapor is provided at a heat-exchanger for a further use. The coolant is transported backward through a gravity force or a capillary effect to the area of the mold. The thermosyphon or a heat-pipe is integrated in a copper part of the mold. The thermosyphon or a heat-pipe is replaced or added to a water cooling in the mold. The thermosyphons or heat-pipes are actuated individually, where the actuation is carried out dependent upon the temperature, mold geometry and composition of the metal melt or the actuation is carried by means of temperature change on the heat sink or by means of changing the mass flow of the coolant. The thermosyphon or the heat-pipe is optimized with respect to geometry, the coolant or insulating layer. The heat in the heat exchanger is used for producing electrical energy with an organic Rankin cycle. The heat in the heat exchanger is used for the continuous casting plant. The heat is temporarily stored in the heat exchanger by means of a batch device for further use. The heat in the heat exchanger is used by a thermoacoustic generator or compressor, a thermo-kinetic compressor or a stirling-drive. An independent claim is included for a method for utilizing waste heat of metal melt in continuous casting plant.</p>
