PURPOSE: A semiconductor device is provided to have a bidirectional shift register transferring an input signal according to a clock by minimized surface. CONSTITUTION: A shift registers(200) is connected to a chain type. A shift control signal generator(220) generates a control signal of a third and a fourth shit and a control signal of a firs shit and a second shift corresponding to a source clock. The shift control signal controls a shift operation alternately with a register unit. A register initialization(240) initializes the shift register by responding to the first and second shift control signal to the third and fourth shift control signal.
