PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color measuring device which can measure an accurate color value even when a spectral reflectance or a spectral transmittance to be measured has a sharp peak or a valley. SOLUTION: This device is constituted of: a measuring means 1 for measuring the spectral reflectance R(λ) in the range of 380-780 nm at an interval of 0.5 nm; a storage device 2 for preserving a spectral distribution intensity value S(λ) of standard light, or color matching function values x(λ), y(λ) and z(λ) in an XYZ color system; an interpolation calculation means 3 for calculating S(λ), x(λ), y(λ) and z(λ) by an interpolation method, if these values in a wavelength do not exist when calculating tristimulus values for each 0.5 nm; a color value calculation means 4 for calculating two sets of tristimulus values at each wavelength interval of 5 nm and 0.5 nm; a determination color value calculation means 5 for determining which of the two sets of tristimulus values is to be adopted; and a display means 6 for displaying the color value.
