Crystalline, essentially linear adducts are prepared by reacting one equivalent of a diepoxide (I) with 0À7 to 1À2 equivalents of a carboxyl terminated polyester where n is at least 6. I may have an epoxide equivalent of 100-250 and may be a diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A or a diglycidyl ester of tetrahydrophthalic acid. II may be prepared by reacting 1,4 - butane diol with a molar excess of succinic acid. In addition to II from 0À to 0À4 mole of a dicarboxylic anhydride may be used per mole of I. Conventional tertiary amine accelerators may also be employed. The products are useful in castings.
