<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biometric authentication apparatus making possible a finger to be always placed in a correct photographing position. <P>SOLUTION: The biometric authentication apparatus photographs a two-dimensional vein image of a human body by a photographing means in a state of having infrared rays radiated on the human body of an authentication subject and carries out a user authentication by using the photographed vein image. In this case, an instructing means for correction of photographing position is included for instructing the user on correction of the photographed position for the human body by the photographing means so that a halation is made minimum when a halation portion exists in the photographed vein image by the photographing means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
